Steve grew up in Cranford, NJ, where he played golf for the Cranford High School and was a four-time letter winner. After high school Steve attended the Pennsylvania State University, where he studied Professional Golf Management, Business and Kinesiology. Of the 30,000 golf professionals in the United States, Steve is one of less than 150 to earn the prestigious title of Authorized Instructor of The Golfing Machine.
Steve is also a Titleist Performance Institute Certified Golf Fitness Instructor, a K-Vest Certified Golf Professional and also a Class A PGA Professional. Steve has had a chance to learn from some of the most knowledgeable professionals in the industry including: Lynn Blake, Joe Daniels, Rick Martino, Bill Castner, Nelson Long, Jr., Kevin Sprecher and Gary Ostrega.
He plays professionally in the Metropolitan PGA events and in the Metropolitan Golf Association events.
Steve was proud to be recognized as a U.S. Kids Golf Top 50 Kids Teachers in America. His philosophy is that there is no “One” correct swing; his goal is to help players find “Their” best swing. Through his understanding of golf fitness, swing mechanics and sports psychology he is able to work with golfers to help them develop their games and achieve their personal goals.

Chris founded the Garden State Golf Academy with one goal in mind: To grow the game of golf and instill a lifelong love for the game in as many people as possible. His mission to grow the game of golf has expanded to more than just mechanical instruction. Chris believes in being a complete athlete and leaves no stone unturned when it comes to the mind and physical fitness. He has incorporated this philosophy into his teaching and the academy alike. In accordance with the academy,
Chris is currently an Assistant Golf Professional at Montclair Golf Club where he has honed his skills as a teaching professional. With a Bachelor’s Degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University, Chris was also a member of their Division 1 golf team for 4 years, as well as Team Captain and MVP. In 2009, Chris finished in the top 30 Assistant Golf Professionals in the New Jersey Section. In 2011, he was recognized by U.S. Kids as a Top 50 Kids Teacher in America.
Chris is a Certified Titleist Advanced Clubfitter and strongly believes everyone should be fit for the right clubs. He has been teaching the game of golf to men, women and children of all ages for over 10 years now and is devoted to helping each one of his students meet and surpass their goals.

Joe’s teaching background started in 2004 where he was one of the lead instructors of the Hyatt Hills Junior Camps. During his three summers with these camps, Joe had the opportunity to work alongside well recognized PGA Professionals such as Bill Castner and Gary Ostrega. In 2008, Joe became an Assistant Golf Professional at Hackensack Golf Club where he taught numerous adults and junior players. In addition to his teaching background, Joe is also an accomplished player.
He had a highly decorated high school career which was capped with the honor of representing Union County in the Freedom Cup in 2005. His accomplishments at Cranford High School lead to a full scholarship to play Division 1 golf at Fairleigh Dickinson University in Teaneck, NJ. After college, Joe turned professional and has competed in USGA, MGA and New Jersey PGA events including the New Jersey State Open.

Earl has been playing Golf for over 50 Years, Competed on NJ Institute of Technology College Golf Team ( Home course Upper Montclair CC Clifton, NJ) and was a previous member of Wyndemere Country Club Naples, FL, Heidelberg Country Club Bernville, PA, Fox Hollow Golf Club Branchburg, NJ, Haworth Country Club Haworth, NJ.
Earl won The NY Mercedes Dealer Championship at Sleepy Hollow CC (Sleepy Hollow, NY), Won (Tied for First) the NE Regional Mercedes Championship (Hudson National Golf Club (Croton-on-Hudson, NY), and placed 8th at the National Finals of The Mercedes Dealer Championship (Ritz Carlton Bay Course Kapalua, Hawaii (2001/2002)
